Day 01: arrive in Kunming which is reputed as "Spring City" because of the pleasant climate all year round and big variety of flowers, city tour, visiting the East and West Temple Pagodas which were built during the 9th century; Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Archways which are among the landmarks of Kunming city; pedestrian commercial street and local market.(overnight: 4-star hotel)
Day 02: one day tour of Stone Forest (90 kms away, 1.5 hrs' drive) which is a world natural heritage site and world geological park with amazing karst limestone landform, in the meantime, visit local villages and meet the local Yi ethnic minority people there.
Day 03: drive to Dali (4 hours), visit Three-Pagoda Park which was transformed from a Buddhist temple and it is famous for the 3 imposing pagodas, then visit local Bai ethnic minority people's residential houses, finally go to the old town of Dali, feeling the laidback atmosphere on the "Foreigners' Street". (O/N: 4-star hotel)
Day 04: drive to Mangshi (4 hrs) which is reputed as "city of Dawn", it was said the day was dawning when Buddha came to the city, hence the name, en route, visit Reclining Buddha Temple in Baoshan, after arrival, city tour, visit tree-entwined stupa which is a stupa entwined by a tree growing from inside. (O/N: 3-star hotel)
Day 05: drive to Ruili (2 hrs) which is reputed as "City of Jewelry", it is a hub of transportation of jade coming into China from Burma and is one of the jewelry trading centers in southeast Asia, en route, visit Moli Waterfall, primeval forest, and the town of Wanding bordering Burma. (O/N: 4-star hotel)
Day 06: visit local Dai ethnic minority villages and markets.
Day 07: drive to Tengchong (6 hours), en route, visit Heshun Village, known as "hometown of overseas Chinese", owing to the many villagers went abroad to Burma and other countries. (O/N: 3-star hotel)
Day 08: visit Hot Springs, Volcano National Park, and Beihai Wetland
Day 09: drive to Dali (5 hrs), on arrival, take a pleasure boat ride (2 hrs) on Erhai Lake which is 40 kilometers long with crystal clear waters and isles, the boat takes you from the western shore of the lake to the eastern, on the boat, you can see villages sited along the lake and the majestic 19 peaks of Cangshan mountain range.(O/N: 4-star hotel)
Day 10: drive back to Kunming (4 hrs), visit Western Hills which is a forest park, a place to pay pilgrimages to Taoist gods and Buddhas and enjoy a bird's eye view of Kunming and Dianchi Lake. (O/N: 4-star hotel)
Day 11: visit Golden Temple which is a Taoist temple and it is famous for a 250-ton bronze temple (the heaviest in China) and a 18-ton bronze bell (the third heaviest in China), and Green Lake Park, then it is your free time.
