Attractions features: ethnic minority cultures; breathtaking Nujiang River; thermal springs, etc. Day 01: arrive in Kunming which is reputed as "Spring City" because of the pleasant climate all year round and big variety of flowers, city tour, visiting the East and West Temple Pagodas which were built during the 9th century; Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Archways which are among the landmarks of Kunming city; pedestrian commercial street and local market. Day 02: drive to Dali (4 hrs), visit Three-Pagoda Park which was transformed from a Buddhist temple and it is famous for the 3 imposing pagodas, then visit the old town of Dali, feeling the laidback atmosphere on the "Foreigners' Street". Day 03: drive to Tengchong (5 hrs), en route, visit Reclining Buddha Temple in Baoshan. Day 04: visit Hot Springs, Volcano National Park, and Beihai Wetland Day 05: drive to Liuku (4 hrs), capital of Nujiang prefecture, en route, enjoy the view of Mt. Gaoligong and the Great Canyon of Nujiang River, after arrival, visit Laimohe Waterfall (trekking of 4 kms). (overnight: in Liuku) Day 06: drive to Fugong (135 km, 2.5 hrs), en route, enjoy the scenic Great Canyon of Nujiang, visit the Tiger-Leaping Gorge (50 kms away from Liuku) which is 10 kilometers long with the narrowest part of 10 meters and drop of 20 meters, watching local people rope-riding across the river, visit the meteorite in Pihe (90 kms away from Liuku), the meteorite is 3 meters high with weight of over 500 tons and diameter of more than 2 meters, in the evening, you may party with the local Lisu ethnic minority people. (overnight: in Fugong) Day 07: drive back to Liuku, en route, visit the Christian church which was built in 1938 and nearby villages, the ruins of Bijiang, former capital of Nujiang prefecture, the capital was relocated because of possible landslides detected by experts, after that, drive to the village of Baihualing where you may enjoy the melodious songs sung by the local Lisu ethnic minority quadruple choir which is famous for its primitive style both at home and abroad. (overnight: in Liuku) Day 08: drive to Dali, small pleasure boat ride (2 hrs) on Erhai Lake which is 40 kilometers long with crystal clear waters and isles, the boat takes you from the western shore of the lake to the eastern, on the boat, you can see villages sited along the lake and the majestic 19 peaks of Cangshan mountain range. Day 09: drive to Kunming, visit Western Hills which is a forest park, a place to pay pilgrimages to Taoist gods and Buddhas and enjoy a bird's eye view of Kunming and Dianchi Lake. Day 10: visit Stone Forest (90 kms away, 1.5 hrs' drive) which is a world natural heritage site and world geological park with amazing karst limestone landform, in the meantime, visit local villages and meet the local Yi ethnic minority people there.
