      Dai Brocade is a traditional textile handicraft popular among the Dai ethnic minority. It is famous for its exquisite weaving style, elegant pattern, bright color, and durability. Different colors and patterns denote different meanings. For example, red and green sarong shows Dai people's commemoration of their ancestors, the pattern of a peacock indicates auspiciousness, and an elephant symbolizes a bumper harvest.       In China, Marble is named after its production base-Dali. It is refined in texture, wonderful in patterns and brilliant in colors. Dali Marble is classified into "caihua" (colored flowers), "yunhui" (grey clouds), and "baishi" (white jade). Among them, "caihua" is the most valuable. Having been polished, "caihua" presents beautiful pictures such as mountains, rivers, pine trees, waterfalls, clouds, etc. "Baishi" is famous for its flawlessness and solemnity.
